Kitchens and bathrooms get used harder than any other rooms in the house, so they're usually the first to feel dated, cramped, or worn out. A remodel makes sense when the layout fights you every day, storage runs short, fixtures are failing, or the room simply no longer fits the way your household cooks, cleans, and gets ready in the morning.
Patriot One Builders plans kitchen and bathroom remodels around how you actually use the space, for homeowners in Ephrata, Lititz, New Holland, Lancaster, and the surrounding area. We take on the project as your general contractor, from planning through the final walkthrough.
What's included
- A conversation about your current room, your goals, and your budget
- Planning the layout, storage, and finishes around how you use the space
- A defined scope and schedule, with the estimate in writing
- Managing the remodel as your general contractor
- A final walkthrough of the finished room with you
How it works
1. Talk it through. Call or send a message. We talk about what's not working, what you want to change, and what you want to spend.
2. Plan and price. We work out the design, scope, and schedule, and you get the estimate in writing.
3. Build. We manage the remodel. A typical kitchen or bath project includes demolition, any plumbing, electrical, or framing changes, inspections where required, then cabinets, surfaces, tile, fixtures, and trim.
4. Walkthrough. We walk the finished room with you.
What to think about
Layout vs. refresh. Keeping the sink, range, toilet, and shower where they are generally costs less than moving them, because relocating plumbing, gas, and venting adds work. If the current layout truly doesn't work, though, moving things is often what makes the remodel worth it.
Choose finishes early. Cabinets, countertops, tile, and fixtures can have long lead times. Making selections before work begins helps avoid gaps in the schedule while you're living without a working kitchen or bathroom.
Living through it. Plan for how you'll cook or shower while the room is torn up. A temporary kitchen setup with a microwave and coffee maker, or access to a second bathroom, makes the weeks much easier. In older homes, opening walls can also reveal outdated wiring or plumbing that's best addressed while things are open.
Common questions
What affects the cost of a kitchen or bath remodel?
In general: the size of the room, whether the layout changes, cabinet and countertop choices, tile work, and any electrical or plumbing upgrades needed. Your written estimate spells out the scope for your project.
Can a kitchen remodel be part of a bigger project?
Yes. Kitchens and baths often go hand in hand with an addition or a whole-house renovation, and we handle all of those.
Are you registered in Pennsylvania?
Yes. Patriot One Builders holds Pennsylvania Home Improvement Contractor registration #PA189583.
